Hi guys after a bit of info, at the moment I use frontline for treating the dog , this works ok but she needs re treatment after swimming etc. what do you guys use when working dog in dense tick areas, and can it be bought over the counter or do you need to obtain it from a vet

Hate to say it but pets at home do a good deal on a subscription type jobby. They send it out every month and it’s the same as the vets.

Bravecto. It’s a tablet form. It’s good for 3 months and having used it on my dogs the last couple of years I’m quite happy with it. I’ve two Springers, the vet admitted he was doing himself as he gave me a tablet for a large dog and advised halving it and feeding it to the dogs.
It worked brilliantly and didn’t see a tick on the dogs for 6 months. In the last year it needs to be repeated more frequently. I am of the opinion that the dose has been reduced. However it’s still worth the money.47D67D45-2523-45A9-BACB-24EBC1E0EBC3.webp47D67D45-2523-45A9-BACB-24EBC1E0EBC3.webp
