My mate who works with sheep gives me spot on for the dogs so I’m going to put some on myself this weekend to see if that makes a difference.

Its a strong scented natural disinfectant. I wondered if putting some around the lower leg would deter them biting.

Just asked my wife about this tea tree cause I’m no sure whether I drink it wi a few Jaffa cakes or rub it on . I’ll try it

Almond oil is good for this ^^^
Don't use any "essential oils" neat. Many years ago, when I knew no better, I made the mistake of putting neat citronella oil on a cow's udder as a fly repellent. It caused a really nasty wound.

I put neat tea tree on no problems.
Try a small patch first if you are worried.
Not all essential oils are the same!

I pulled a big swollen tick off my daughters head 2 weeks ago which I suspect had been there a while. Not sure how long they take to completely fill up but this was pretty ripe.
Any way GP said antibiotics not needed and shes been fine since with no rash/symptoms.
As previously mentioned if doxycycline is prescribed it will discolour teeth growing at that time (unerupted in the bone)
Im not one for being concerned as Ive had hundreds on me over the years. As others have experienced this was because I stalked in tick infested areas. I found base layers were good barriers but they would still latch on even around my wrists.
Just my thoughts but I think lymes disease is more likley in certain areas of the country? eg down south
