Tikka t3 trigger

I do like the Timneys, but personally not for stalking.

I would rather have a safety catch that locks the bolt to prevent a round being accidentally ejected while carrying.

I’ve been looking at the KRG Midas as a potential solution, because like yourself I do love a crisp two stage trigger, but I haven’t yet managed to find if the KRGs safety catch locks the bolt like the factory trigger does?
Funny enough the thing you don’t like about the Timneys is the thing I like😂, I like the fact that when I’ve cold hands I don’t need to pop the safety off to clean the chamber of the round when heading back to the car. But it is each to their own mate. The 2 stage is a lovely trigger as you say nice and crisp. I have tineys in all my rifles bar one (it’s a trigger tech for a AR15)

I used “thatgunbloke” on the bay of evil, I’ve bought 3 fitted two, a lighter and consistent break on all 3 triggers. I believe that the UK Ava springs are of equal quality and are about 10 days earlier to drop on your doorstep.
I think Gun Bloke has been failing to deliver lately. Like literally not providing the goods.
I have used his and Yo Dave trigger springs on a few Tikkas and they have all been great for a light release on hunting rifles.

That’s sad, quite a few of my buddies have bought his springs, but they didn’t seem available in the UK for anything like the price his was. Things have improved in that way at least.

Can tune any trigger
Lighter is not always better (in fact its often worse if the underlying trigger is rough, creepy, slack or breaks at different points or pressures

Fettle the cocking piece and sear so the are crisp and smooth with sharp edges
Polish rotating components
remove any grit, grease or lube

Before you know it the “heavy ” trigger you didnt like is significantly better

Hey Ben, the Midas safety does indeed lock the bolt.
I really like the Midas on my Tikka but it’s not quite as nice (IMO) as my couple of 2 stage Sako TRG triggers, although it is easier to adjust the Midas.

Got some springs off him last week, took a good 4 week delivery.
That's a good sign. I can only go on some info I have seen.
It seems that some of the bigger items are not being supplied. I don't know if it's a cash flow problem or a sourcing problem.
One review on YouTube said several times that he would like to be contacted, receive the goods or a refund. He would be happy for anyone of those 3 things to happen.
He made it clear he is not happy and has found a number of people are in the same boat but is happy to receive a refund or an explanation.
Apparently he is a FIFO, ( Fly in/Fly out worker )
Maybe that's causing a delay in communication and dispatch or maybe he does not have the goods to deliver.

Probably worth noting for those who might be in the market
