i think they are great and shoot well out of the box,but i do adjust the triggers

Just looking for peoples opinions on T3 I’m looking at one in 22-250 have been looking at other makes but really want a tikka but I was talking to a friend the other day who’s been shooting far longer than me he was less than complementary for the tikka as a brand this will be my everyday rifle so will be stainless or cerakoted synthetic so just need opinions for people with more experience of the brands out there

.270 Tikka T3x Lite & .308 CTR here, both secondhand. Bought a T1x new.

The biggest flaws of the Tikka's:

1- The stock. Thankfully @PSE Rifle Stocks has addressed this for me, I have re-stocked all three of mine (one Etac and 2 Multi purpose)

2- Only one action size for the T3/T3x, always recommend going for a long action one unless CTR.

3- Boring to use. They just work, like an old Volvo. Keeps going with minimal maintenance and no drama. This is actually a big positive!

I shoot my T3's off hand, standing most of the time. I also carry them on long hunts in varying terrain. They are light and come to the shoulder quickly. This is one of my off hand targets with my T3, 308. As a hunting rifle the T3 is superb.~Muir

Love my t3x supper varmint but hate the cheap nasty bits that you can change on the stock,I’m seriously considering glueing them because they have movement an feel naff , anyone else glued them on ?

Get something different , Tikka’d are boring plus they are too loud for hunting and the stocks are for girls. Can’t wait to order my tac a1

I don't think you'll better a Tikka T3 for the money. They're well engineered, well put together no-frills functional tools. I've got a T3 in .22/250, T3x in .308 and a Tac A1 in 6.5mm Creedmore. Another plus is that you can get them in full left handed configuration (as mine are). Wouldn't change any one of them.

So many nice guns out there, I have always had tikkas, and cz, probably boring, but had a t3 lite in 308 , 243, both no trouble, both very accurate, got rid off and got a tikka 308 ctr because I fancied one, worried I might have made a mistake, but so pleased with it. So accurate .

Heavy!

Even with a carbon stock and heavy duty sling they are not choice for lugging up and down hills.

Absolutely brilliant factory mag system after it has been adjusted (look up the screwdriver trick, MDT makes plastic mags that fit and they are worth the £30 odd, £100 for the factory ones not so much!)

Replaced the bolt handle with the Sterk AI clone (bent handle with ball knob) and the rifle already came with a PSE Etac and ceracoated barrel and action as I bought it second hand. Buy a .308 and unless you are running souped up target loads the barrel will last a long time.

I have the T3 stainless in 308. I have the CTR in 6.5 Creedmoor. Both excellent though the CTR is a lug @ 10 pounds. Points like a setter when shooting off hand.~Muir

Honest, straight forward working rifle that's accurate out of the box. Plenty of " upgrades " available if you want to tart it up.
Can't tell you why but I prefer shooting with my 695 though. Feels special, less mass market. However, I've also had it a long time so it fits like a glove.

I have 4 Tikka T3's.
.243 in a thumbole laminate, stainless.
.25-06 in a Berserk stock, stainless.
.300wsm in a Berserk stock, stainless.
.308 super varmint stainless.
I will never sell them unless im forced to, hope to hand down to my son if there not banned by then.

I've a 243 stainless synthetic tbh accurate rifle but rusted after a couple of weeks use contracted tikka and apparently all my fault with poor care I've a cupboard full of various guns and a dehumidifier installed in the box not one gun has even dreamt of rusting in almost pride myself at how well there kept
wouldnt have another new one. I've also an older M595 that is of far better quality the accuracy of them is excellent but the build quality of the new ones is questionable the customer care even worse wouldnt sadly have another
