Pretty much as the title suggests, has anybody that has bought the TikkaT1x in .22lr with the 16in barrel found a preferred ammo for it yet? So far I have tried 42g Winchester subs,40g Winchester subs & 38g eley subs, seems to prefer the 40g winchesters trouble being I think they are being discontinued in favour of the 42g ones.

I have a 20 inch and the best accuracy has been with Federal Ultra Match made by RWS. The only ammo it does not like at all is the SK-made "Wolf Match Rifle" but then none of my rifles care for that particular ammunition.~Muir

Check my my post below on the T1X. There is a 100 yard group there shot with the Federal /RWS.

I had my T1X out this afternoon as a utility rifle. I had to fix some signage around the perimiter of our gun club range so I put a slip of butcher's plastic wrap over the end of my suppressor with a rubber band and shouldered it for the duration of a snowy afternoon. Very nice. The rifle got wet and cold but hey. It's a Tikka. Shot one group with some ancient Eley-Primed Aguila Standard Velocity at 25 yards. Four of five were in about 1.5 bullet widths the other was just low and out from a loose rest. That ammo must be 20 years old. at least. The Tikka didn't mind. ~Muir

I have to say I'm pleased with mine it's a great accurate little rifle &coupled with the wildcat panther mod it's a great combo and short for using from vehicle etc.Tikkas are fantastic reliable rifles

I set my t1 22lr up today. outdoor range no crosswind.only tried 42 grain Winchester ammo. sub 1"@ 50 yards. At 100 yards I was hitting a 2" gong with boring regularity.very impressed with the rifle to say the least.

Zeroed mine in using CCi Standard, OK but not great. Tried SK Standard, !/2 inch groups at fifty metres indoors. Nearly as good as my 15 year old Finnfire P94S Varmint.
