To 6.5 or not to 6.5 that is the question!

I watched THLR recently on YouTube he said 6.5prc was an unnecessary expensive waste of time
No he didn't.

He said that he bought 6.5PRC to get 6-15cm margin of error in wind calls (@600m). He also said that he doesn't have use for the extra energy, since he believes in bullet placement (other people wouldn't necessarily sneeze at considerable extra velocity @600m).

That was assuming that recent Kyrgyzstan video was the right one, since you didn't specify it. I also left the 35min video to run in the background while doing other tasks, since I wanted to make sure there are no extra comments after the beginning.

I prefer the extra clout of the 6.5 Creedmoor and choice to go heavier with bullet weights. Inside 200 yards you won’t really see much difference. I had both 243 and 6.5 Creedmoor in the cabinet 2 years ago, the 243 has since gone.
I would recommend a 24” barrel

Which makers do a 6.5 creed with a 24” barrel though.

I have an Anschutz 1782 in 6.5CM with a 23” barrel that’s a tack driver. And a Heym SR21 in 6.5CM custom configuration is on its way to me in the States right now with a 26” heavy barrel. So there’s options if you want a little longer barrel. And the others mentioned above too.
