Toilet roll shortage

I was lucky and managed some loo rolls this morning. The wife gave me a list of things that we needed, (just the basics that we would normally buy, and not in larger quantities than we normally would get) and on the list was toilet rolls. Morrisons where I usually go looked like a plague of locusts had been through (And that was at 07:45 this morning) so I just settled for getting what few items I could there. I went on to B&M's and asked an assistant if they had any loo rolls and if so could she point me to the correct aisle. She said that they had run out but just a few seconds after that one of the young male members of B&M's staff came running after me and asked if I was a "senior citizen" to which I honestly replied that I was. He told me to wait there for just one minute while he went to the store room. He returned with a "bulk pack" of 24 toilet rolls (Should keep the two of us going for a few weeks) and said that they were keeping some in the store room specially for the elderly to stop the hoarders from grabbing them all.
I raise my hat to B&Ms for their thought!:tiphat:
I ended up going to 4 different supermarkets (Morrisons, B&Ms, Asda and Iceland) to get most of the basics (Couldn't get a pack of pasta but did manage to get the last two packs of spaghetti that were on the shelf) that the wife had put on the list! Off to Lidl tonight for a few beers - If they have them!
