Never....years of tightening parts (including scopes with no ring marks) painting cars you need a light touch on the gun trigger to a feather touch brazing a small part..How many people are using a torque wrench when scope mounting?
Which one do you use?
Any recommendations please?
It’s one of those things you’ll only use once in a blue moon.

I use a Vortex branded torque screwdriver/wrench. Easy to adjust and it's been very accurate when I've compared it with a friend's Snap-On torque wrench.
Gives me piece of mind all screws are 'the same' and not over tight. I unfortunately haven't had a lifetime of feathering an airbrush trigger or wrenching on things to have acquired the muscle memory of a cyborg torque wrench.

The more posts I read makes me wonder how people get through their day...

I like their choice of colour!
Another one using the Vortex, I know some people scoff but I like to have a certain amount of repeatability with stock screws, certainly made a difference playing with my CZ with the front barrel lug and because I have it, all rings etc are done too.I use the Vortex one too. I got it for setting up QR picatinny rings. This way I know all screws on both sets of rings are exactly the same and so the scope is going to be held evenly even after multiple times taking the scope off and back on again.
What it has shown me is that the common recommended 17inch/lbs for scope ring is a lot less than I used to do by hand Vs the settings for action screws that I probably wasn't doing enough before.
This also gives me the confidence (as I've tested it) that I can remove a stock or chassis and then replace with no loss of accuracy.
Also a lot of people successfully fine tune accuracy with how much force the action screws are done up by. I doubt you'd be able to reliably alter between 35inch/lbs and 40inch/lbs by hand to test accuracy changes.
I use the torque wrench that came with my golf driver….How many people are using a torque wrench when scope mounting?

And when people share their experiences the torque wrench spokesperson stokes up...How do you abide this forum, or do you just feed off your own superiority?
The very idea of a forum, to me, is that people of like-minded activities get together and are able to share their experiences, build on other's and together provide a very useful knowledge base and connection of like-minded people.
You just seem intent to be superior to anyone who hasn't done the 50 years down the salt mine that has been your life, and it's getting wearing.
