Trade and private sales.

Apoligies if it has been suggested or discussed before but what about splitting the forsale section into trade and private sections. I think it would make it much clearer and be a better showcase for each type of seller.

There's pros and cons. The first thing is that it would double the size of the Classified site. Then there is what would be the splitting point. Realistically it would have to be private/Trade Members... but Trade Members could be very small or very large. Then we have to think, what would the Trade Member, who effectively pay for advertising, want... do they prefer their own page or would they see less people come in for a look? Then think about what happens when you have a Trade Member who jacks in doing trade ads and goes back to private ads... what do we do with them?

Then you think... carry on as you are! ;)

Its all good if the trade guys play buy the rules and pay the fee's , its not easy thing policing them iam sure as some don't and easy to spot the good guys as They do ! After a while you can norm spot the one's that don't :norty:

If they were spilt it would mean buyers have two classified sections to look through, not ideal I would have thought.

I often wonder, there used to be a 'new posts' button including and excluding classifieds, I would like a new posts that only had personal classifieds in it, not trade classifieds. Whe you have not been on in a while, hit the new posts, you get ten pages coming up, the majority can often be trade classifieds and to be honest I never trawl through all the various section, its the only bit I ever search is the new posts....

The trade ads surely should be advertised with an email address. They are taking a up full pages and the private person ends up on page2. The competition between 2 certain optic trade members is becoming laborious!
