Tribute to EQUADIF68

I was shocked and very sad to learn recently that French SD member EQUADIF68, François, died last November from a sudden heart failure at the age of 69.

I actually met François through this forum in October 19 and we had since exchanged a good number of emails and phone calls about the line of copper bullets he was developing.

He was indeed a passionate stalker and a passionate designer and developer of lead free bullets for hunting.
He published a book on this subject in 2020 "Projectiles de chasse monométalliques" which I have at home.
He recounts how he discovered monometallic bullets in the US in 1988 and had since only used lead free for his hunting.
He describes how he and his business partner Olivier strived to design better, accurate and efficient copper bullets for hunting and target shooting, which resulted in the launch of the TPM line of bullets in 2020, produced in Alsace.

For those of you who could be interested (I'm thinking especially of SD members living in France), here is a link to their website Balle TPM – IMPACT AU PREMIER TIR , where you can find the TPM bullets ("gamme chasse" for the ones for hunting), factory cartridges loaded with these bullets, and their brand of reloading dies.

I will really miss François, and his knowledge, which he always shared with me with great kindness and availability.
I am about to go stalking with my first handloads of 308 Win 110 gr TPM bullets, and I will have a special thought for François when I shoot my next roe with them.

Its always sad news when we loose a member of the SD site. Many friendships have been made through this site, and not just within the UK.
The site owners send their sincere condolences to all his family and friends.

I learned a lot from his posts, and really respect the analysis and work he put in to his designs.
Condolences to his family and close friends
