Does anyone know where I can get a trigger set here in UK?

Canjar Trigger Set maybe?

And do I need a license to buy it?

Cheers!

Hi,

do you want a standard replacement trigger assembly or one with a "set trigger" (what our German friends term a Ruckstecher)?

There's a fair choice of either for the '98 (have a look on MidwayUK and Recknagel's site) but the only replacement trigger I know of for the 660 is a Timney.

I believe triggers for the Remington 700 may fit, but the position of the trigger in the guard may not be correct. The only company I know of to make set triggers for the 700 is Kepplinger.

but where can I find it? anyone knows any good resources for set triggers? i am in london and i dont know any good gunshop in the city.

cheers

Well seeing as London is a big place narrowing it down a bit would help someone point you int he right direction. If your up the top end speak to Joe at Gunshop East Barnet he will help if he can:-

If your right down the bottom then the chap in GT Shooting might be worth a phone call although he is more target orientated.

http://www.gtshooting.co.uk/.

Trouble is there is lot of ground and distance between those two.

A set trigger for your Mauser is easy enough to get on-line (see my original link to MidwayUK). Finding one for the Remington will be harder, but a dealer with a Brownell's account should be able to source a Kepplinger Remington 700 set trigger for you - I believe Alan Wey would be able to help. It would be wise, however, to check with Kepplinger directly, before ordering, to confirm that their Remington 700 unit is also suitable for your 660.
