Truck insurance

They never make sense. Mine was £700 last year (first year of having a truck and I kept my existing NCB on the car). They hiked it to nearly a grand for the renewal so I went on Compare the Market - just shy of £500.

That’s fully comp for a 63 Ranger 3.2, with 7,000 miles.

It seems you always have to shop around. My car flips from Admiral to Hastings, almost alternating each year because the existing one takes the mick on renewal and the other offers a good price to join…

Insured my 2018 Invincible X with A choice insurance, this is my first truck, so first commercial policy, 15000 miles used to commute to single place of work, so mainly used for social travel taking dogs out etc. Policy was just under £600 for me and the wife. Norfolk/Suffolk border

So have you accepted a quote yet???
What did you end up with???
No still shopping. Not found any revelatory quotes from the suggestions so far, can o my assume for whatever reason postcode lotteries might be influencing things but equally judging by a lot of the other prices mentioned it seems I’m not alone!

Admiral did mine last month it was just over £400 They were the only people who would quote me with a bull bar and driving lamps. It would have been a lot less if I took them off.
compare the market .com started at £330. I have a Toyota Hi Lux.
Steve.

Yeah they are coming out on top currently when we combine both vehicles with them, they’ve still put up our combined premium by £400 this year though! So I don’t feel like giving them our business but may have no choice

I have not found anyone cheaper and there no issues with a commercial vehicle, not being insured for business use , but insured for commuting to various work places.
And they answer the phone when you ring them 👍

To be fair to them they sorted my no fault claim this year when I got driven into, they were very easy to work with, the only time in 25yrs of motoring I’ve ever made use of being insured….!!

They came in over a grand for me!

Just had a quote from NFU which was acceptable (mainly because they don’t charge extra for paying by direct debit).
