Well just an update. I have finally - after putting in a variation in Mid September - got the variation through from Police Scotland today so have placed the order. You wont believe some of the questions that were asked!
Any way the variation is granted and indeed all rifles and my "barrel" conditioned for any lawful quarry and zeroing on any land where I have lawful permission to shoot.
So now just need to wait for it to be made and then to arrive. Then have it fitted and then zero it to the same point of impact as the current barrel. And then find a pig or three. I have been invited to a driven boar hunt next December, so with a bit of luck it will be ready by then.
