Would you recommend rigid or take down kit?

Depends on your needs. Mine are rigid as I have enough space for them to live in my car permanently. I've sent out some takedown parts today and am keen to see how they work out for one the recent purchasers that requested them.

I'll be adding these parts to the CF kits going forward, and am happy to supply to anyone that's bought a set already.

Thank you for purchasing a quad stick kit. Here are some assembly instructions.

Don't cut garden stakes until you're happy with the height you require. Measure twice, cut once!

Hi, It will be at the top of a front leg, with a clip midway down the leg or thereabouts.

I will try and have some 5th leg kits available next weekend.

Well it was like Christmas here this morning... firstly the revised connector clip turned up from Rory, closely followed by the carbon tubing from Graham at Katana (despatched yesterday, tracked!) ... all I have to do now is find the time to get the 2 sets of take-downs together..... adhesive and magnets waiting!

Looking forward to that I have to say!

I’ve just finished putting together my GMM carbon fibre quad sticks from Takbok, and I’m beyond impressed with how straightforward the process was - and how stunning the end result is!

The kit itself is really well thought-out, with all the hardware neatly supplied and clear instructions. I sourced the carbon tube from Easy Composites (14mm OD x 12mm ID - 2m lengths) and they are spot on — light, strong and consistent.

Assembly was simple:

• Tape and cut the tubes to length, with the fronts 95mm longer than the rears.
• A quick tidy of the ends with sandpaper kept everything square.
• The drilling jigs made getting accurate holes fool-proof, just light pressure on the drill and the rod ends seated perfectly.
• Everything went together tightly and securely with the supplied screws, and the rubber isolators and clips were easy to position and adjust.

From start to finish it only took 20 minutes, and there was nothing complicated about it. The option to sand the tubes for a matte finish is a nice touch, but I left mine glossy and they look fantastic.

The finished sticks are beautifully light, rigid, and clearly very well designed. It’s a brilliant bit of kit & I highly recommend that anyone who wants a proper set of carbon quads sticks gets in touch with Rory!
