Hi folks,
Stalking directory hive mind required. Just got away after a 6 hour journey for a few days away. Arrived to find the locking mechanism on the truck canopy has fallen apart (2023 DMax, uncertain of canopy make) meaning the key barrel isn’t connected to the door latch mechanism.
There isn’t enough flex in it to open the tailgate.
Side windows barely open (open obliquely rather than sliding).
Any thoughts?
The hinges have a split pin and it looks as though I might be able to take the hinges apart and then open the top outwards as such to get in. Can anyone foresee a problem with this? Any similar experiences?
Up a mountain side with an opinel and a corkscrew. All tools that might be useful are, of course, locked inside…
