Variation Times ?

I put one in just before Christmas, they said to expect 8 weeks. I did say I need it asap for work.

mine went in and was checked on NOVEMBER 23 -2023 by tvp and informed all ok it will be with me it two weeks !!!!!! ,checked this week and it should be with me in the next two weeks 7weeks so far.

Update from TVP area put mine in start of October 23 and after a query got it back the end of December 23.
This was compared to 2022 when total time from submission to it coming back was 7 days so things have definitely slowed down.

My renewal date is 14 feb just received a letter from Durham say they can not process my renewal in time gave me extension till 4 may letter states I am allowed to hold firearms & buy ammunition so am good with that
Application went in all signed doctors letter first week off October

Hampshire did one for me in a month not that long ago....

Just done one for me, around 4/5 weeks but that includes the Xmas holidays. Good conversation with the FEO clarifying details as well.

my varied fac arrived this morning ,8 weeks to the day tvp said they had it and had been checked and would be processed asap !!! included with my fac was a high lighted note saying i must return my old fac ,THIS HAD TO SENT IN TO GET A VARIATION.

Staffordshire are still super quick (instant), the entire process is done on line. Usually receive an email a couple of hours after filling the web form in asking me to send in my old FAC. Are the other forces that are dragging their heels (such as TVP) doing one-for-one variations online, or using paper forms?

Approaching 10 months now truly shocking
Response these delays would not be tolerated in the private sector.

Derby had one done in six days the next took 3 months and have the club one in now for 18 days just had an email asking to send the ticket in so it can be completed

I’ve been waiting for a renewal 13 months now. Had to chase Cumbria police for a new temporary certificate before this current one expired in December, I don’t know what is going on with fire arms licensing up here but it doesn’t fill me with confidence.

Beds Hets and Cambs..

I put in for a second .223 for target shooting and submitted my variation on-line:

Applied on-line on 17th December.
Video interview for same calibre +1 rifle on 27th December.
FAC with grant / variation arrived through my door on 11th January.

I am delighted to say the least..

Derbyshire - Filled in the online form on Friday, voicemail Monday to send my cert in for re-issue with the variation. Follow up call Tuesday as she had a query and was doing the variation then. Surprised it wasn't back in today's post

Just put a variation in for a S1 shotty last week with Police Scotland East. Will report back when it comes through.

Emailed enquiry for a 1-4-1 last night, did the online form at 11:00 AM, added a 1-4-1 for a .22 mod to .303 rifle.

Collected new ticket from HQ at 12:30 PM

For Gwent just had one back. Submitted 2 weeks ago, pick up tomorrow given the bank holidays and school holidays I don’t think that’s bad
