In addition to the above, I put in for two .30 calibre target rifles on 2nd April. I had a phone call and video interview on the 17th April.. All approved, now just awaiting the envelope on the doorstep.. in reality I was going to wait for my renewal in December, but the immediate availability of a Barrett MRAD changed that..Beds Herts and Cambs..
I put in for a second .223 for target shooting and submitted my variation on-line:
Applied on-line on 17th December.
Video interview for same calibre +1 rifle on 27th December.
FAC with grant / variation arrived through my door on 11th January.
I am delighted to say the least..
Well that’s open to interpretation!they had backlog & would get to it as soon as they could,
Complain - their website says to allow 8 weeks.West mercia applied 1/1 from 223 to 22lr semi on mid January and still waiting![]()
I'll get an email going later today to themComplain - their website says to allow 8 weeks.
It may not get done any faster, but it's completely fair to ask why they're quoting a time at all if it's not realistic. The West Mercia PCC has made a big deal about investment in the licencing dept. and yet their performance is worsening.
The long awaited envelope finally arrived yesterday, dated 7 days after the video interview.. But now finally here..In addition to the above, I put in for two .30 calibre target rifles on 2nd April.
