We appreciate this is a big ask, but we are looking for a veterinary advisor who would be willing to form part of a committee to help steer the governments proposed animal welfare policy away from an all out ban and towards regulation.

Veterinary & Welfare Advisor
Purpose of the role: To provide veterinary oversight and welfare-focused advice, ensuring
animal health considerations remain central to NAPET’s work.

Key responsibilities:

- Advise on welfare implications of training practices
- Provide clinical insight into harm thresholds and misuse risk
- Support development of welfare safeguards
- Assist in responding to welfare-based challenges

Person specification:
- Registered veterinary surgeon or equivalent experience
- Balanced, evidence-led welfare approach
- Understanding of clinical risk and proportionality
- No activist affiliation
