Vinyl Friday

So like Triggers broom from only fools and horses, R Cajon have been going a long time, yes the singer, guitarist etc have changed many time but they are still going as far as I know. They started at our folk club, Peace Moldia in Derby and spread their music across the uk.
This recording is as close to the original line up as I can find, Art hammering his guitar, his then girl on triangle, and beads hollering and playing the GOB organ as he called it.
The last time i saw any of them was in 1982 I think,

OK its two days late but what the hell!

I’ve been meaning to do this for some time and since first contributing to a BCUK thread called Friday Is Disco Night, hence the attempt to come up with a different title but don’t be put off by it as no format or type of music is excluded.

As for “why a music thread on a stalking forum” all I can say is I’m looking forward to hearing what other members like and in the process being exposed to stuff I’ve not heard before so perhaps others will too. Its also something to 'chill' to after reading another Brexit post!

Resisting the temptation to appear erudite & cool in my choice of track to kick things off I’ve chosen this version of a Ray Davis song as it could have been written for me and is better than the original, IMHO:

Cant beat a bit of quality prog . Yes, Genesis,. Floyd etc. Or a bit of heavy, Zep, Sabath, or perhaps some. lighter rock, Minds, U2. Celtic perhaps RunRig, Caper, Wolfstone . classical music is overlooked by many of the younger generation these days. So with all this quality music one wonders why pop programs are so popular on saturday night TV.
So my choice of track for this morning would be South side of the sky by YES. Off to see them in a few weeks time. R..I.P. Alan White who sadly passed away last week.

Quality.
Gentlemen can I ask that you sit down make yourself comfortable pour yourself a large malt or whatever takes your fancy and absorb one of the very best bands this planet has witnessed to date.
