If you've any desire to establish what was so special about this Artist, as in all the fuss any number of legends in the word of rock-a-boogie have made over the years, this performance nails it IMHO:

I'm a bit of a fan of Santana. This was the (nearly) original lineup from the late '60s. Gregg Rolie is superb on the organ and makes their sound complete and keeps Carlos Santana's guitar honest. The drummer, Michael Shrieve is original too. He did that great drum solo at Woodstock on Soul Sacrifice, worth checking out if you are too young to remember. He was 20 at the time..
 
And for something completely different:

I'll always remember listening to this while driving around a Highland Loch as the sun dropped behind a hill and the V8 purred in the background like an out-of-time, but somehow rather pleasing, additional base line.

Lobo - Me and you and a dog named Boo...always loved the "Another tank of gas and back on the road again" line. Think of it after every fill up on a journey.
