What’s your oldest kit

I regularly use a Ross Stalking scope. I have an Alex Martin Sidelock with ribless barrels that’s just over a century old. I am currently working on a Rook rifle that is even older.

Goodness only knows I’m trying to think of the oldest piece of kit l have, it could be the Andrew Ross stalking scope 1860, or Alex Henry rifle case, a couple of Rook rifles and a few Rook rifle cases, Swedish 1899 Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf m41/B no to young, some early ammunition maybe ? I’ve to much collected over the years to put my finger on the oldest item, if l remember anything individually that is definitely the oldest I’ll get back.

My Dillon RL550 press,,,,

Though I’ve a Pre64 Mod 70 that is begging for the full restorative works to bring back into work

My green swaro binos, i purchased them when they first bought them out with the all rubber type covering and apart from a service to replace the eye cup, they’ve been faultless and the best investment i ever made 😀

Haven’t seen an update on the rook rifle for a while. Anything to report?

BSA meteor I've had for 50 years, currently awaiting a new rear sight, and a Chapman gun screwdriver set used regularly for 44ish years
Yes I have a BSA Meteor mk1 it was used when my brother bought it and I bought it off him I have had it for over fifty years. And I wished I had a pound for every squirrel I have shot with it.
It brings back a lot of memories when I use it, still shoots well I have never had a rear sight on it but currently it has a bsa scope on it.

Swedish M96, dated 1920 and still shoots like a dream. Smith & Wesson model no. 3, circa around 1880-1885 I think. Never shot that one.
Did have a 1941 Webley and Scott .410 single barrel until a couple of years ago. Sold it on to a friend for her daughter to learn with.

Regards

Mark

1937 Doana mod 15 owned by my dad, hardly functional.

Cartridge belt that has shrunk and needs to go.

Wamadet press 40 years old, in regular use.

Chinese knife copy of buck as a 21 birthday present, needs christening.

Sharp Microwave oven, bought new in 1983.
Never needed repair, not even the inside bulb.
Inside you can plug in a probe that can be inserted into things you want to cook or drinks for heating and it displays the temperature.
Still working perfectly.
Cost then £245.

A Kammo waterproof jacket. Brought from Bob Truman after getting soaked on a driven pheasant shoot in mid Wales in a Barbour in about 1997. Still in my work van today- a bit tatty around the edges but still waterproof and warm.
