I'm with Foxyboy......I went for the Wilko Specials....£16 for 4...and some bicycle inner tube! The best thing about them is you don't cry when you invariably reverse over them!I have tried a number of different quads and my personal choice is the B&Q deluxe model comprising of 4 plastic coated metal poles. Best tip is on the front forks - string a piece of webbing/belt between the two pole tips which is not quite taut when sticks are deployed - this gives you great lateral fine adjustment simply by pushing/ pulling the fore end with thumb/fingers and a super steady deployment. Vertical adjustment is leaning forward for closer range and you can probably work out how you deal with longer range! I have used mine for 10 years and still solid as you could wish for - entirely confident for fox out to 200yds plus. Cost less than £20 incl. 4 bolts for joints. If you break/ lose them B&Q have so many poles they are selling them! A smaller set for kneeling/sitting shots is a good idea too - ideal for tall heather. Photo attached for the hard of thinking.

Too small for what exactly? All four of my rifles sit in the Vees quite happily. It only needs to locate and support from underneath. Do you have a particularly broad forend/stock on your rifle?Crap
the V slots far far too small. Won a pair on supporter draw. Well made but rubbish design. Moved them in quickly

It sounds to me like you are using sticks that are too short & consequently not opening them far enough. I'd rather have the improved accuracy of the forend & butt grip that they offer, especially with an unmoderated slim & light rifle. If you find it difficult to move the sticks for a small adjustment just stick your fist in the front V.Maybe . Forend and butt don't sit happily -- just too narrow and barely one inch of "slot" to sit it in

He is a tall lad.It sounds to me like you are using sticks that are too short...
So am I. I had a pair from another maker that were just too short & I used to have to look for dips & holes to place my feet in to get the sticks to the right height. He is a tall lad.
Not negative at all, just at pre~launch testing stages. I regularly have NDA's because I see kit before release.Intriguing! Can you say where you got them on? And I’m guessing it’s a negative issue that you’ve got to keep quiet about?
Fair enough, thanks for letting me know! Not negative at all, just at pre~launch testing stages. I regularly have NDA's because I see kit before release.

Limulus asked how tall I was and made the sticks to suit. Sounds like something went wrong. It sounds to me like you are using sticks that are too short & consequently not opening them far enough.
I asked for them to be covered in silicon/rubber tubing at the V & the grip is fantastic.Yes he did with me also. They are v well made and attractive but even when the v is wide open the base of v in notch to top of stick was say max 11/2 inches. Just not enough in my opinion to stop the rifle canting and wobbling about
