Bespoke: Handmade parts, individually filed bits and bobs, and the stock and sights fitted to customer

Custom: Customer chooses / buys all individual parts that a gunsmith attaches to each other

Ssemi-custom: Factory rifle, with a new barrel or aftermarket stock or aftermarket trigger, bottom metal, recoil pad, etc etc etc

I think that just about sums it up.

So the difference between a 'semi-custom' and 'custom' is who did the box opening and allen key turning, along with what it cost for this service?
Nope, with prefit barrels being a thing, I could assemble a rifle myself from parts.

Yet I'm no 'gynsmyth'

Is a Blaser R8 a custom rifle?
A Blaser K95?
Ordering a spare or used Tikka T3 barrel and installing it yourself, does not make it a custom rifle.

Well, at least that what I think

I'm less bothered by the definition and more bothered by almost everyone's custom/customised/semi-custom/bespoke/whatever being cookie cutter copies of everyone elses.
Same bloody cartridges too, have some imagination boys and girls.
