what defines a custom rifle

Custom = build by a gunsmith from scratch from a disperate collection of individually selected components.

Semi-custom = tricked up, factory rifle

Is a Blaser R8 a custom rifle?
A Blaser K95?
Ordering a spare or used Tikka T3 barrel and installing it yourself, does not make it a custom rifle.

I'm less bothered by the definition and more bothered by almost everyone's custom/customised/semi-custom/bespoke/whatever being cookie cutter copies of everyone elses.
Same bloody cartridges too, have some imagination boys and girls.
