Lucky?? very, just wish I could do it with the lottery :-D
Hey Beechessam,
I work for mainly milionaires, they are no more or less happy than you or I, and that's a promise! On balance I would say generaly they are more stressed (worried they might lose it?) and by and large I would not want to swap fridges with them! You sound about as happy as I am with my "better half", so what's left to wish for?
I never bought a lottery ticket. Now for my deepest most meaningfull saying:- "Don't waste time and money on a dream of a life, live your dream now with what you have".
Here endeth my sermon.
Buckup. :-D

Having run a small guiding business for a good many years, my other half has got used to me not being around for about 3 months of the year. In particular September through to mid October, as this is my busiest time.

She has put up with 6 trips to Africa, the longest was 3 weeks, numerous trips to Scotland, Finland and America, usually on business :-D . She does not stalk/hunt, nor do my 3 daughters.

In fact for many years the only other bloody male in the house was my dog. And I have often been in the doghouse

However I cannot complain, I have been a very lucky man and hunted many parts of Africa taking two of the big five in one hunt before I was 43. I have 7 grandchildren, who I am very proud of, and would protect them to the ends of the earth, and my hope is that at least one of them will follow me in my footsteps. The two eldest boys already have a 9mm garden gun and a 410 I bought 2 years back, on my ticket of course, and the youngest of the two is called minni malc because he looks like me, and likes GUNS ;) There's hope for me yet :-D

My desire is to see him grow into a good stalker if he wishes to pursue the sport we all love. And my greatest desire would be to see him take his first Red or Sika stag.

sorry buckup
i'm with beechessam on this as i know if i won the lottery i would not turn out to be a miserable barsteward like my boss, as i would live life to a fuller max than i do now
stone

Just give me a lottery win, the weight that must be lifted of your shoulders would be amazing.
No more work if i didn`t fancy, and to be honest i would find it as much pleasure helping others out than enjoying the money myself.

Well said Wadas, I'd buy up some land and plant native species of trees. Maintain the hedgrows, dry stone walls and water courses and of course my private collection of deer. You are all invited to come and stalk by the way! :-D

I agree the a lottery win would not make me any happier, but I would be able to do a lot more shooting, know my family are financially secure and work would not get in the way of having fun :-D
