What is my Oil AGA's consumption at its lowest setting?

Oil consumption on ‘off’ setting is the same as ‘low’ ie 4cc

Ah please accept my apologies then. I asked that question and started the thread in September which was resolved almost immediately.

I picked my thread up again last week with a different question without re-reading my original question or all of the posts.

Enjoyed this thread. 20 years ago had a gas, powered flue four oven, aga, loved it until this conversation took place while it was being serviced.
Me, how much does it cost to run then
Engineer, oh not so much, about the same as a pint of lager
Me, quizzical look
Engineer, well good lager, like a pint of stella
Me, and how long does my aga run on this pint of stella
engineer, about one.
Me, one week
Engineer, oh no one day
Me, quickly pricing stella and multiplying by 365 in my head
Me now feeling faint and upset thats a grand a year.

If the chap above who quoted 40+ litres a week is correct, that is just beyond the pale. I haven't used our Aga this winter, its the last resort but anything like the £200 a month is awful and mine would stay off.

Bit like a mistress - wonderful and feeds the 'inner man' but horrendously expensive and a major risk (to finances).
