What would be the perfect hind culling rifle?

I am interested to know peoples thoughts on what the ideal hind stalking rifle would be like in terms of chambering, barrel, action, stock, scope etc. To be clear I am not talking about a rifle to take only a hind and calf, but one to take as many from a group as possible where a determined cull is needed and five, six or more shots are taken consecutively at ranges that can shall we say become “more extended”. This thought has come about after considering @scotch_egg post on rifle weight and after seeing @Ronin thread on his new rifle take on an old chambering. Whilst out on the hill with a good friend recently, the comment was made that an SLR of some sort might be ideal!!
To get the ball rolling my ideal rifle for this task is my Remington 700 in 7mm Rem Mag with Walther medium Palma barrel, PSE ETac stock, Atlasworx bottom metal that takes 5 round AICS magazines with a Lawrence Precision moderator and 4-16 PMII. The down side of this rifle is the weight which is probably circa 15 to 16lbs but this is mitigated by a proper carrying system such as a biathlon sling, Vorn or Eberlestock.

Fourteen in one sitting is the most I’ve managed (two mag changes) this was witnessed by the way before any claims of “egging omelettes - or stolen valour,,,,,,)

For a “carry and kill multiples” rifle you would need light weight, robustness and accuracy plus mag capacity

If you were building from scratch

Tikka T3x
PSE ELite
CTR mag system (10 round)

Or standard plastic 5 round mag if you opted for long action cartridge

Caliber wise - whatever you need but recoil management on multiples is a consideration

6.5x47Lapua shooting 120gn Sierra Pro-hunter through a Bartlein 26” 1:8 twist barrel with A-TEC CMM moderator, Tikka M595 action sat in a modified AICS stock with 5 & 10 round mags all topped off with a Zeiss Diavari 6-24x56 with click chart on top strap. Not a woodland stalking rifle but very effective on the fields & downs where the fallow hang out & with a good carrying system would doubtless do what you’re looking for on the hill. Remember though it’s not the shooting it’s the clearing up… don’t get into double figures & don’t ask me how I know…

For me personnaly...

Blaser R8 Ultimate chambered in 7x64, loaded with 130gr Yew Tree TLR's.

"Tactical" bolt knob, F&D mod (simply because that is what it wears), rail mounted Zeiss V8 and a Spartan Pro Hunt bipod for the pan function.

4 in the magazine, one up the spout and the fastest reload I have ever done means that it maxed out (currently) at 6 from one herd.

If it wasn't as ugly as Auld Nick himself I would say perhaps the R8 Ultimate X might better fit the requirement...

Same rifle as you’d use for stags IMHO. As long as it’s not a stupid 3 round mag but a proper 5 down +1 half loaded, it’s good. iMHO double stack to avoid those obnoxious mags that stick out and make a rifle stock ‘belly carry’ impossible.

I do have a Tikka T3 Super varmint in stainless with 20inch barrel in that old fashioned caliber of 260 remington. This would be more than adequate as it is stupidly accurate.
