I only shoot that far on the still day and my gong is an 8inch but I can hit it consistently first time at 800m if I couldn’t I wouldn’t be taking the shot
That may be, however there is a reason why we have so many deer as they are left for a "couple more years" times that by a very large number and the couple more years equates to a lots more food.
A GM muntjac will eat just as many of your plants as a doe or one with a couple of stumps.
Muntjac-as an invasive imported species need to be shot on sight. This ‘sport’ bollocks on a non-herd species is partly why numbers are out of control. Often shoot muntjac in the neck-its what presents as it reaches above tall grass to browse on the undergrowth of trees and hedges. See the (safe) shot, take the shot. I prefer to eat heart than MJ neck but stalkers need to get comfortable with taking a variety of shots. Practice, practice, practice…
