Which flip up scope covers?

I use vortex defender flip up covers on my V4. Much cheaper than Zeiss ones and do the same job in my opinion. They just slide over the scope. Brought from Baileys.

I only use a neoprene cover....If it rains I put it on...Just think it is one more movement a deer can see...
One steps out and is looking right at you then you reach fwd to flick the front on...

good luck.
This.

Plus the whole scope is protected when the cover is on, rather than just the lenses: no minor consideration with a prized and possibly very expensive scope.

I use Vortex Defender flip ups on my 56mm Minox and whilst I find the eyepiece cover works well the same can not be said for the objective cover. It tends to flip up quite easily if the cover knocks something whilst the rifle is being carried around or brushing something when being put in a rifle cover or gun safe. I've also got a V4 so I'm quite interested in how well these might work for a 50mm objective, I would hope that it is a bit more resistant to flipping open than the 56mm version.

I've got a Butler Creek on the objective lens which I like, its an older one and I haven't had any problems with it. I did have a Vortex on the ocular but I carry my rifle muzzle up and decided I didn't need it

My Hawke Endurance has screw-in metal covers on both lenses. I usually flip them both out of the way immediately. Very well-made indeed. But of course they're specific to Hawke

The March scope flip ups are good. Low profile, small, light, positive open/close while remaining almost silent. They lock into a couple of different position and don't break.

They are also relatively cheap and still allow you to mount the scope as low as you like.

I used to use the Vortex ones. They are made well but they are overkill, too large and ugly.

Tenebraex on the objective, Butler Creek on the ocular.
Tried the Vortex, but bulky and as others have said, can open too easily and they're a faff when they just end up gliding off the tubes.

If they’re stalking with the scope covers closed, they deserve to not get a deer 😂
(And I’ve done it myself once with a borrowed rifle - I didn’t take the bikini covers off and bumped a deer .. never again).

I’ve vortex personally. Open all the time unless it’s heavy rain.
