I have some ridgeline clothing and I would have to say so far, so good. I think stuff that’s made in China can be exceptionally high quality providing the budget is there to make it so. Most companies/customers are tight on budget/profit margins so a lot of stuff is made to a cost in China... I have read a lot of mixed reviews on the Harkila footwear though.

Sadly, no. They stopped selling them a few years ago. However, I think a company, possibly in Yorkshire still make them. Google will know...

Le Chameau Mouflon plus boots had them several years really comfortable and never let me down on some of the worst days on the hill
When people ask for advice/info on boots we automatically accept that some boots may fit others better than ourselves. The only advice or info we’re after is whether they are any good or not i.e. build quality, comfort etc... I would of course try them in a shop first where possible or if ordered online I can always send them back should they not fit my feet correctly. I’m not going to sue anyone for offering an honest opinion..
I have put my feet in more pairs of boots than I care to remember over the past decade or so, including most if not all of those mentioned above. Some pairs have lived a long and hard life, others have died young..... Some never even saw the light of day!
In that time, I can honestly say that the Harkila Trekking GTXs are the most comfortable things I've ever put my feet in (besides a warm bath). And they seem to be lasting well.
I have seen that Harkila footwear has a varied reputation but thought I'd take a punt on them since they were half price and after a year of almost daily use, I cannot speak highly enough of them..... That said, i may be biased due to their wide fitting!

I bought a pair of Harkila for the first time last year because of their reputation , up until then I had used some Jack Pyke ones. I must say I was a bit disappointed as only after a few times use whilst beating I noticed the stitching had come loose but after contacting the seller ( Philip Morris) they sent me a new pair with no quibble which seems so far ok with regards to stitching }. I must say though they are a very comfortable boot to wear all day, keeping my feet dry and warm . As I wanted a wide fit I had to go for a size bigger especially if you are going to wear thick socks. I have been using the second pair for over a year now and they seem fine.
Did you find them true to size or a tad small? Are they waterproof all the way up or just down at foot level? Some of the land I hunt can be a bit boggy, I have been using my hunter welly’s up to now but they lack the necessary ankle support I need when I get into steep/rough woodland terrain...

How do you find the soles? I'm really struggling with mine badly slipping on wet surfaces, and making horrible squeaking sounds on wet grass
