I used N160 and N560 in 270 but never with 110gn ttsx, always 130gn ttsx

I’ve been working on some loads with N140 and various Hornady heads. There’s a guy not far from me who also makes custom heads that I tried, which seemed to work well.
The Vihtavuori stuff ain’t cheap and I’ve been wondering about swapping to Hodgdon to see if there’s much difference other than price.
From what I’ve read, the Swiss stuff seems to be in a similar class to the Vihtavuori and more or less the same price point.

I use N140 in my .243 with 80.5 Yew Trees and 80gr Barnes TTSX. It’s only an 18” barrel but I can get it to the min muzzle energy with the top end loads.

The Hodgdon will likely work out more expensive than the Viht unless it’s old stock.
