So you haven’t found any evidence that (As has been suggested) it’s a scam, or, as suggested, still awaiting the setting up of a Go Fund me page?
If only there was a way of combining the single brain cell of each of those two posters.

Correct, there has been no information that this is a scam, nor a genuine incident.
There was a typographical error in my post, ‘thus’ being autocucumbered into ‘this.’ I found a BBC News video of a dog that was shot dead on a golf course, a resort owned by Marriott, but it was a few years ago. There is also an incident in Puerto Rico with a stray being shot.
Unfortunately I don’t use Facebook and so will be unable to catfish the original poster, despite my devilish good looks and natural charm making me perfect for such a role

If a bird of prey is reported missing or injured the police get interested, remember sandrigham? A pet is allegedly shot next to a golf course and the police dont investigate. I read a twitter post about it, the golf course has form for this sort of thing, was the quote.
I cant understand why any one involved in shooting could beleive this and repeat it.
From what i can see the story has no evidence, no police intrest, just a face book post, twitter post and a local chip paper quoting the face book post.
Is it not more plausable that a badly trained dog ran off and was hit by a train?
