Yeah, wash in stuff, TX direct. But I'm sure Diver Dave's Repel off eBay would do the same or better at a quarter of the price.Thank you mate, I presume it's easy enough to treat?
You could try Deerhunter Pro gamekeeper smock or jacket , i've got both in the tweed pattern and they seem pretty tough
There isn’t anything that going to last a while as a stalking jacket and a beating jacket. Get one for each, cheap replaceable for beating as thorns, brambles and barbed wire kill jackets
Last order was £16How much is the postage on kuiu gear to the uk?
I also have the Swaro Titan smock, properly waterproof, I also have the matching trousers the pair are my “ Go to” for heavy wet weather, done 6 years up in Scotland on the hill never let me downSwedteam titan pro goretex very tough outer material waterproof and windproof I've caught mine on barbwire and many other sharps like thorn and branch it's yet to suffer any outer damage.
The only negative I've got is the sleeves are tight and I don't have big arms, I only use thinner underlayers in this respect but it keeps me very warm, with excellent protection round your head and neck the best I've used.
So if you don't have arms like Popeye and you can get one definitely a fantastic hunting smock with hand warmer pockets open all the way through so you can keep your hands together for extra warmth on very cold days, this also means items can be retrieved fro either side.
Also a great binoculars pocket at just the right height and one left side Brest pocket.
But as you wanted a very tough well made smock that's going to do the distance this is it.

Thanks fella, appreciate it. I'm going to look at a few options and reviews before spending anything as I've spent a lot of money on cheap and expensive jackets/smocks only to last a season or 2 at mostHello mate,

Get yourself an Arktis B310 Smock. Plenty of pockets, waterproof and tough as anything.
I've had mine for 2 years and it has kept me dry in the Falklands and Germany in the height of winter. It's also tough enough to survive being smashed about the highlands, Brecon beacons and Dartmoor.
Retailing around £200ish, plenty of colour options. Also the Arktis customer service is fantastic.
No affiliation with this company but their kit is class and they usually have good sales on...
Heartbreaking isn't it. I tore up my fjallraven jacket packing a mule deer out in the states. I'd only had the damn thing 3 weeks. The Arktis smocks are cheaper than I said. Around £170. Genuinely bombproof bit of kit. Failing that a lot of blokes I know swear by Carinthia although they're a bit more expensive. Thanks fella, appreciate it. You know Fjalraven will fix their clothing for a small fee if you post it to them. Alternatively they can send you out replacement fabric for free so you can take it to a local seamstress yourself. I've done this many times for patching holes.fjallraven jacket
I’m interested but am slightly ambivalent about the concept of a wet cotton outer being restrictive and heavy and also that it is loud. The water resistant issue smock which is probably similar to the outer is rather rustlyHello mate,
