Worrying fall out from Gun trader leak

Apparently Google has removed the file from Google Drive, but with so many copies out there now it’s likely it’ll reappear elsewhere sooner rather than later. I suspect the authorities will be playing whack-a-mole with that one for a while to come.

I understand the matter has been referred to the National Crime Agency for investigation.

Related to this if you have visited the webpage you may see that it is primarily set up to leak hacked documents from various hunts (hunting with hounds) up and down the country. Some info is just run of the mill but they have also released the personal details including addresses of hundreds of various hunt members, supporters and landowners. Some of the leaked data has also been damaging / embarrassing for certain hunts and associated organisations.

this should be a warning to all those syndicates and clubs that they need to keep all their data as secure as possible. It will not be long before a deer stalking syndicate or a game shoot has all its private information plastered all over this hunting leaks site.

Honestly can't believe the cyber crime folk have been so slow to act on this. You'd think at the very least, they should have put a DNS block on the site, as they do with other criminal URLs. Somebody illegally downloading a film, must be more important than the risk of firearms being stolen

The file has been re-uploaded to a file hosting service in Switzerland...

Unfortunately they've got it on Google earth and the sun has kindly told the whole country
