I don't go in there anymore, Can grow a beard waiting for page refresh or mark read etc.
Can grow a beard waiting for page refresh
Could be! But @Cheviot said it's slower logged on that logged off.Same experience here when using a Mozilla browser: specifically, loading new pages takes an age. Once open, navigating between stories on that page is quick.
Zero delay opening new pages when using a generic chromium browser: each new page populates quickly, but with low resolution images initially.
Could this be differing approaches to rendering image detail? I.e. Mozilla browsers appear slow because they show nothing until they can show all, whereas chromium approach is to throw something up and fill in details later?
What device are you using (make, model and browser)?same for me takes a while when I'm logged in, but if i don't log on it is instant![]()
it's slower logged on that logged off.
Try it now

Large Article forum being extremely slow
Opening Article forum having Preview display style consisting of around 50,000 articles is painfully slow. If change Display style from Preview to Standard, it opens instantly. Had to change "Thread list date limit" to 1 year to speed it up. So instead of 1636, pagination shows 16 pages. Here...xenforo.com
Try it now... I have made a change (temporarily at the moment)![]()

Could I get that fix explained in DOH! language?

Yes, that’s about right, only it’s MariaDB 10.6I think @csl said:
"MariaDB10.4 upgrade...MYSQL...pagination...pipeline...set global join_cache_level=0..."
