It’s is fine for me too. You can try deleting the temporary internet files (bearing in mind you may have to log in again afterwards).

What device are you using (make, model and browser)?

Can grow a beard waiting for page refresh

Same experience here when using a Mozilla browser: specifically, loading new pages takes an age. Once open, navigating between stories on that page is quick.

Zero delay opening new pages when using a generic chromium browser: each new page populates quickly, but with low resolution images initially.

Could this be differing approaches to rendering image detail? I.e. Mozilla browsers appear slow because they show nothing until they can show all, whereas chromium approach is to throw something up and fill in details later?

Maybe this?

Try it now... I have made a change (temporarily at the moment) 🤔

Your change , whatever it is , has made a marked improvement for me, the slowest bit is "Mark read", but that is also a bit quicker to respond, Alex.

that's made a vast improvement , thank you :tiphat:

Could I get that fix explained in DOH! language?

It’s to do with the ‘bookmarks’ join apparently, where a user has two tables to join whereas a guest does not.

If you couple the fact that Mozilla browsers have to wait for the script to finish before you can use it whereas Chrome browsers do not have to wait it does kind of make sense.

Here’s what google says:
It appears to be a setting for the forums operating It settings.

The latest current long-term stable series is MariaDB 10.11 (maintained for five years), the current short-term stable series is MariaDB 11.2 (maintained for one year), and the current development series is MariaDB 11.3.
