XL bully and dog breeds…

As much as it sucks breed bans do not inherently mean the outdoors are any safer the people that 'owned' these dogs will move onto another breed and train them to be aggressive, they will never learn.
All the government can really do is introduce a breed license, and require mandatory de-sexing but like hell the country would do that!

The aggressiveness is only one part of it, the look is equally important. These dogs are a status symbols, especially when they are owned by the wrong people. A 4x4 Dacia Duster may go anywhere where a Range Rover does, but you'll never see the 'gangsta' types in one.

According to the article, he had puppies on the premises and advertised them for sale online, which potentially makes him an illegal breeder. And, the male dog wasn't neutered. So plenty of stuff to charge him with even before getting to his responsibility (or lack of) for the death of the victim.
As I said, it will be interesting to see what he is charged with.

Every dog could be muzzled in public for starters, regardless of breed. Followed by any dog that bites someone is destroyed, with no exceptions (Police dogs exempt), a zero-tolerance policy.
Back in the 70's I was keepering on a lovely shoot but unfortunately not far away was a town wherein dwelt a lot of nice poaching people (dogs and otherwise). One black night in the middle of a wood I met two of these nice folk who wanted to wrestle and play football with me.
They didn't realise that I had with me two Dobermans, for company you understand. I had left them on "Stay" a hundred yards further back. After a few minutes of not liking the game and realising I was losing I called the dogs. Now they did some serious biting, would you destroy them?
The local inspector wanted to but the boss knew someone higher up the pole and they were saved.
Thank goodness for them as they met the kids every day off the school bus after a few threats to family. I would however not leave any dog alone with young children and even kennelled the dogs when we had visitors. Horses for courses is I believe the right saying.

Hemhem. If you please.

I do the west side symbol all the time hanging out of my 17plate Duster whip.

All dog breeds can be sh1ts or sweethearts. Owner dependent.

But when you have a temeperament issue and the size/strength to kill or maim, then either restrictions on the owner or breed should be in place.

I used to own a patterdale, now with a friend on a farm, happy killing charlie and whatever else. Absolute little cnut. Especially after some children of acquaintances decided to bang her around the face with sticks. Never left alone with kids thereafter. But also very loving and calm around the RIGHT people.

The difference is, ok a nasty bite possible, and did draw blood from the tips of fingers from knobheads, but highly unlikely to seriously injure a human. Every other species on the planet, fair game in her retarded, warped and very psychopathic mind.

A similar mindset in a bully-disaster.

Even that super soft dog that lets kids crawl allover them could have a tooth ache or pain somewhere and have a bad day.
Correct
They are fecking dogs

A lot of people/ muppets forget that

They are wild beasts domesticated and trained ( most of the time ) by humans

But they are still fooking dogs

The sooner it sinks in with idiot humans the better .

Before talking about dogs being animals... we should keep in mind that human beings also sometimes lose their sh1t and do all sorts of crazy things. Remember Raul Moat? Luckily people going crazy is not as common as XL Bullies flipping.

I walk my dogs on their leads at all times, letting them off for a swim when appropriate, around our local valley park. I always walk with my thumb stick. A friend of mine commented that my stick was more like a cudgel. I assured him it's only a thumb stick.
