Every year we have the same argument. She says I will give you money for Christmas and you can buy whatever you want. I say ok, how much you gonna give me So I know to give you the same back and then we are sorted. In fact, just to make it easy, don't give me anything as you can’t be bothered to go out And I won’t get you anything either.
she is absolutely crap at presents and stresses out over it. I tell her it is easy, go ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you exactly what I want.
To be fair, if I needed anything done, like the car broke down or whatever, she is there waving cash saying take it and sort it and I’m telling her, just keep your money for you, it’s ok I don’t need it. So if there is trouble she will be first in line.
so she does make up for it in other ways, and I do get her stuff that she wants cos sometimes I do listen, usually just before Christmas and her birthday
