Missus took both dogs to vets for the 2 x yearly injections each.......so they can go in kennells when we go abroad

Each year both dogs get them done at the same time in the one visit .....vet only gave them one each n told wife to come back.in in 6 weeks for the other one ..........

I can feel another consultation fee coming here .which will not be paid

Both dogs are fit and healthy ....wats the reason for this ????? In 9 years it's a first in my book !

Also ......gonna get the 4 year old border spayed .... so the way I see it is ....
You pay for the op and stitch removal....and shouldn't be charged for the consultation fee for the stich removal at a later date when they need to come out ?

I've payed for her to be spayed an the price should be al.in.....

Thoughts please

I've just had one of my labs yearly boosters done. Going back in 4 weeks for a leptospirosis only jab,no extra charge whatsoever.
Don't know if this helps but charge was £75 for booster and kennel cough vaccine.

The second jab is probably a booster for leptospirosis. I understand that only the newer L4 brand is now available so if your dog has previously had the L2, it will need two shots to give full protection.

Consultation for suture removal is unusual.

I recently found out that kennel cough is a live vaccine and was told to not get it done as my daughter is under 1. Which is interesting as last year my wife was pregnant and it wasn’t mentioned at all, or the 8 years before that.

If you use private health for an opp on yourself then all follow ups are chargeable, plenty of vets are jumping on any chance to add extra fees!
Only thing you do is ask for just the inoculation however I fell that it will be a bit like BT where they used to say that inclusive calls are part of your broadband package knowing full well that few of us have use for a landline nowadays.

eh company that make the L4 vaccine is, I understand, still doing a vaccine amnesty on the second dose, so this second vaccine dose is likely to be FOC
