Your favorent cleaning products and why? Been looking into this and there is allot of stuff to look at . Been looking at whipe out? and kg?

Anyway thanks also any tips would be good.

I don't have a bore camera but KG stuff seems to do the barrel jobs nicely, with Hopps No9 for my shotties.

Balistol is my preferred favourite for wiping done anything and everything.

If you are talking CF rifle cleaning, Wipe out, carb out. Very quick and effective.

Kg-1 carbon remover. Once a year forest bore cleaning foam.

Hoppe's Elite for general cleaning and metal care

and

simple window cleaner for use with the bronze brush!

Personally I like PH009 as a barrel cleaner, seems to work pretty well on everything in conjunction with a cleaning rod and jag/brush.

Other than that I stick to good old WD40, 3-in-1 oil and paper kitchen towels.

Boretech and Wipeout products for me.

They work, you dont need a great deal of either to get the guns clean

A nylon brush is good for spreading a solvent in the bore and for foaming it up. But it will not be of much help in cleaning as such.
If you want to get the carbon out of the bore you need mechanical force - despite the use of KG1, which is very good, but not sufficient.

I could use the bronze brush with KG1 on it. But that would eat up the brush as KG1 also works on copper. This is why I wipe out and soak with KG1 and then use the bronze brush with window cleaner as a 'neutral' cleaning agent.

I use Butch’s Bore Shine, and, KG2 every Preston Guild.
