Zulus

Highly agitated tonight!!

#37 came in just glorious. A squeal and I had it 60 yards away in no time. I aimed and the display went hazy!! I rushed the shot distracted and missed!
On firing I had a green screen!
I reloaded and rebooted the Zulus expecting the fox to of disappeared but to my surprise it was coming closer!
I aimed and got the fox only to have the screen turn orange!
I reloaded and shut it down, replaced the cell incase it was that, rebooted and fired the round off only to be greeted by another orange screen.
So that's that its being returned tomorrow.
****ed off does not describe it!

Not good Smelly, not good at all. I wonder if any others have had this frustrating problem?

It gets better, I just sent an email addressed to James of optics warehouse to receive a return email informing me that james no longer works there!

Why is it always me?
First it was the Wulf 4k that kept freezing.
Then the Wraith that randomly changed zero and now the Zulus.
Cant be the sd card. The Wulf came with its own. Plus, this very card has worked in a pard and my Sytong 66.

Incidentally I have had no issues with the 66!

I am tempted to go add on only once again 😔
At least I can keep shooting that way....

Morning sd, I've been reading your posts and others because I was thinking of replacing my archer and night force set up.
So I've decided "bollocks"to that!
Had the archer for over 20 years, just turn it on and away I go.
Phil.

Sounds like the battery is losing contact with the recoil
Remove the battery cap and extend the spring that fitted inside it

I can always send you a small magnet that fits the back end of the battery. Never had a problem since I fitted one.

If that is the case its pathetic.
The Sytong 66 has never failed in this way.

How long is it before it fails again??
I can't see it being that.
Its been ok for a couple of months!

Good morning Mr. Grumpy :)
There's nothing wrong with the Zulus, it's the black cloud that follows you around :)
Try the magnet trick
I've heard of two similar cases and a small magnet on the negative end of the battery fixed both

So why would a poor connection turn the screen orange?
🦊🦊
PS
I have one, love it and have had no such issues - yet…..

If you get a very short term battery disconnection and then re-connection, some parts of the electronics switch off and other can keep going long enough for the power to come back on again
That's not what happens when the scope is properly shut down or switched on and confuses the schite out of the microprocessor
When that happens, weird stuff is often the result
it's just like when computers or mobile phones play up, you switch them off for a few seconds, and then switch them on again.
After that they usually play nice

Nope, not convinced its a battery issue.
Ive just done bang tests from a tight cap to a very loose cap and can not duplicate last nights nonsense. I used two batteries.
Bare in mind its only a 222!
