Zulus

Only twice with the .243 fired off a bench. The little battery has fixed that.
How many shots have you shot via the arken please?
Ive shot around 200 rounds.
This all started on that misty night when IR was reflecting back. I distinctly remember the a flash . How I do not know as the mod will prevent flash. Since then its been fine until last night.
In other words, using the same cells over and over, why isn't doing the issue every outing.
My money is on an internal issue.

I've only done 40-50 with the .243. Over 200 with .17. At the moment I'm really pleased with mine, best NV I've ever used. Out last night, 4 rabbits head shot between 23 and 75yds, and at the end I thought "this is too easy". No estimation, no aiming off.

Aye, it was brilliant until it went wrong.
Im very upset but also feel relieved now its posted back.
About to zero a scope.

Back in the game.
Four shots and close to zero.
Once close I put the sytong on.
The target was a bit to white though!
I also test a hot load I developed in winter and wanted to see what the brass was like in this warm weather.
Its quite up there! The brass on the right is the hottie, left case is factory.IMG_20240620_202817.webp
It wants to group though.

I'm using the Hawk 17 HMR scope.
If I get a range finder it might work out handy but the nv unit throws it all out butt we shall see.
At least I'm up and running again with a time tested gadget!

A crappy video....

So, which choice?
I think I will end up with a decision to make.
Hopefully they will find a fault and offer a replacement.
Or a refund??
Or they will say that they cannot find any faults and offer to return, to which I will say no thanks and then I will be offered a part payment and out of pocket, FFS.

Faced with that last option, what would you do?
And while you're here, what is the best nv sight?
And I mean reliability!
I'd try anything if it was built proper like....

Thanks.

Hik Alpex 4k 👍

I’d go for the alpex, the 4K is excellent, I’ve got the first one and it’s does everything I need it to do, this is just my opinion and as I’m told at home it means nothing but for £550 I don’t think you can by a better day/night scope, if you ever have any problems ( which I haven’t) it’s all in the uk and you can go direct to them, you don’t need to take it back to the shop, I know someone who had a problem with a thermal spotter and they sent it back to them and they had a new one in 48 hours
