30 06 bullet weights

i use 220 grn sako hammerheads for everything from roe up to reds so far. this autumn ill also use them on moose and if i do my bit I'm sure they will work perfectly.

My old man used 220 gr round noses of various makes almost exclusively . I don't remember him ever shooting more than once . I think this thread proves just how versatile the 06 really is . You won't have any problem taking moose with the 220 gr hammerheads , good luck .

Thanks very much, totally agree with the versatility. i don't think theres much game that couldn't be taken with a .30-06 and the right bullet!
ill be reporting back on my weeks moose hunting!
