Cruelty. Home office have determined minimum calibre as .222, the op said it is confirmed as legal. Show us please.

Cruelty? - OK, provide a link to the relevant legislation.
The Home Office have not determined a minimum calibre of .222 - The guidance is NOT law - the legislation I linked to above IS the relevant law and according to that law .204 can be roe deer legal if the bullet meets the requirements of the legislation.
Laws generally specify what is illegal, not what is legal (it's easier that way)
Look at the firearms act for example - it lists offences with which an individual can be charged for breaking the law - it doesn't list all the the things that are legal under the law.

why?

good luck..I can't get hold of my Firearms office....let me know how you get on ...

lets see how it will pan out......'hello'
'yes hello, someone in your area wants to shoot roe deer with a .204'
'do you have a name?'
'no, but its illegal'
'what do you want us to do about it?'
'arrest him'
'what for'
'cruelty'
'sir are you on drugs?'
'no I shoot an air rifle!'
'do you have a licence?'
'no Im from Bristol'
'Ah,that explains it sir..have a good day'

this is comedy gold lol you should have a stand up slot cowsmart - your talent is wasted on the elitist mob lol

Or this...

hello, has been brought to my attention that one of your licence holders from castle douglas called Lee ........,

no no..please don't stop there...carry on...I am dying to know what you will say...this will make my week, no year......you canny write this stuff...

bet you have loads of mates....

On a serious note, do we want a snivelling secretive little rat willing to try and cause trouble with your Firearms Office? I am not worried in anyway shape or form as the point I have is valid and legal....In my opinion what he wants to do is below the belt and unacceptable.....Lee from Castle Douglas

So, if someone in Scotland applies for a Firearm Certificate saying he/she wants a .204, with Roe as their good reason, it will be granted? Can anyone name such a person?

Is it now illegal to think about using a firearm within the terms of your ticket? Scary place scotland now the thought police are about

You can say that fox is your good reason and if your certificate says AOLQ and the bullet meets the legal requirements, there you are NOT breaking the law shooting roe deer with it.
As I said earlier, whether that's sensible or ethical is a different matter

Cheers

Answer the question.

it is obviously not a good idea but equally obvious that Cowsmart thinks it is and will not concede the point. Shall we just park this lads?
