Are Blasers the most overated rifle?

I am off across the water next month. I am going to find the op and shake his hand. I now see this as my personal duty to get this up to 500 posts. :D

80 to go.
Had you considered the merits of adding a premium priced moderator such as the Lawrence Precision Titanium ones to a Blaser rifle and how they compare to Blaser's own brand moderator?

Eh? Just cos I own a Blaser don't think I have loads of money. I'm a tightwad married to a Yorkshire lass who believes that money belongs under the mattress. :D.

im trying to buy a secondhand mod off someone on here and having difficulty getting the xxxxxxx thing shipped down here. But enough of the sympathy vote. Did I mention my new stock?

Count yourself lucky that you don't live on the Isle of Wight, its almost impossible to get anything delivered over here without some horrendous surcharge, if they will deliver here at all. Oh, and if you are off on a shooting trip the ferry company wants you to hand your very expensive rifle & scope over to Tom the Cabin Boy for safe keeping- not sure that is even legal to do so.

I've wondered about this before - when flying with guns I hand them over to whoever I'm told to, and at the other end some spotty youth comes and delivers a firearm and rounds back to me. What is the legal position with that? Are airlines exempt from normal licencing requirements? Does that extend to ferries? What about on the bus? Should I tool up the driver?

My understanding is that the ferries have a right to search for concealed weapons, as in those used or intended for use in criminal/terrorist activities and have an exemption from the Firearms Acts for firearms used specifically on board for signalling purposes. It is not at all clear that they have the right to take possession of legally held guns for the duration of the trip. Unlike going abroad the IW ferries operate entirely within UK coastal waters.

There was once a Blaser thread on the Site,
That forced both owners and haters to bite.
No one could agree
...even as posts neared 450...
Love them or hate them, they’re Marmite?

The most hyped up rifle on the planet.

agree 100%

The six calibers I have from .22 LR up to .375 h&h are all and every bit astonishly accurate and after little tweets on Ammo are and have been faultless and mechanicaly brilliant, one of the best out there.

yep it's just a marmite thing either you do or you don't

no sweat either way
