Morning all.
Have searched previous similar posts but have come up with nothing so just asking for advice from localish shooters.
I live on the South coast near Brighton and am struggling to find anywhere remotely nearby to zero my .308 when I change scope, mounts or ammo. From what Ive read Im clearly not the first and this issue is not just confined to my area sadly.
I shoot 22lr at a 100m local range but its rimfire (well .22lr) only. I know theres Lydd to the East and Bisley North-West around 1.5-2 hours away but don't really need or want to become a full member of a target club if I can avoid it. The £ being the main thing, not the drive.
I have rights to shoot on land near Crawley through a friend on here but it does put him out considerably as he has to coordinate it with the landowners, his work schedule and other syndicate members. Apparently shooting off 20x rounds to zero in the woods doesn't attract deer near the high seats!
So Im just asking for local advice to see if theres a little publicised range/land nearby please (My 22 range was 'under my nose' for 3 years without me knowing...a casual chat in a gun shop finally made me aware of its existence!). Would only need 100 yards and it would be with a .308 moderated.
Thank you.
