Tip Of The Week

My best tip, don't tell everyone or they'll sell out.......

Its like finding the holy grail, if only I had discovered this years ago, imagine how much I can buy if I sell all the equipment I have, we're talking a lifetime supply of venison I don't have to get up at silly o'clock in the morning to try and shoot......skin....butcher......not to memtion more time at home with the wife and kids

Any chance of getting what I thought would be a helpful and interesting thread back on-track please?

It's not as if I'm asking for your thoughts on a 2nd referendum now you know the deal, so be as imaginative and off-the-wall as you like!

...... how to convert a pair of contoured scope bases to fit a flat bottomed receiver using electricians tape as bund-like containment and Devcon two-part epoxy fluid......

A bit more of a home smithing job:

Similar mod, fitting a weaver rail to a rifle with 11mm dovetail mounts. (Mostly 22lr)
Ebay weaver rails that fit a round contoured underside, are pretty cheap. Mill a shallow 11mm slot in the underside so that it is a slide fit over the dovetail. Then mark and drill/tap the receiver top (on the rail). Not forgetting to shorten the mounting screws, so that the bolt will still work.
And such a tiny hole in the receiver of a rimfire gun, I would argue is insignificant and not invalidate proof.

I've done this on a few of my range plinker guns.

Take care doing this on airguns, as that part of the action may well be part of the piston etc. Strip and inspect before attempting.

(Disclaimer: Do any of this at your own risk!)
