These may well be the criteria you are going by but, this is what was advertised,

28th pm stalk, september 30th am and pm stalk, october 1st am and pm stalk, october 20th pm stalk.

The price per stalk is £200 no trophie fee.

Two stalks per day £200 per stalk, nothing wrong with that but you are twisting facts to suit yourself and that is not right.

John,

I was trying to deffend Solwaystalker and his pricing it was wadershot who was having a go about the pricing of a day.

£200 a day on the stags and no trophy feees is a bargin I think is bad form to have a pop at Solway who is a paying advertiser espiecially when this offer is around half of the going rate.

Unless of course because waders is in the click it is ok for him most people would of had a warning of a possible :ban:for interfering and questioning the pricing of a paying advertisers offer of stalking.

I was only trying to show the doubters that in the scheme of things this offer was a good one.

The price of the SD week is ok dont get me wrong it was not a pop at the SD week that was intended but trying to shut up waders and MJ75 who clearly cannot see a bargain when it is offered

You might have noticed that i have sent a pm to solwaystalker apologising if it looked like i was having a go at him. I wished him well with what he said as his pricing system seemed to work for him, and he pm`d me back accepting that it wasn`t a personal attack and even hoped we would meet up one day.
As for your remark regarding me being in the click, if having good friends whom i stalk with on this site is classed as being in a click, then so be it, but i do feel that when people say that there is a certain amount of the green eyed monster lurking.:suss:

wadas

Wow how did I miss this that is indeed a cheap deal.

£1200 for 6 days with no trophy fees

Compared to the SD week where it would cost £870 just for the 6 days and then if you got lucky and got a good stag each day an extra £1800 in trophy fees

If you get any cancelations again drop me a pm

Oh why am I not suprised that you have stuck your head up again :suss:

If you must know smart arse, I charged £60 a stalk if they had an opportunity to take a deer. Spikers were free, any deer in the 1.5 miles x 1.5 miles re gen area free, unless it was a red spiker which was £50. Trophy Reds and Sika over 6 points £300. And 6 point Sika £150.
The higest fee paid for the week was just over £500 and that included two Sika Stags and stalking twice a day for 6 days!!

6 members attended and I do not see anyone complaining with the results, and please dont ask if we shot any large Sika, and if there is a management scheme in place, as thats not your business old son.

I can however feel a slight drift towards the delete button with the likes of yourself, as you do tend to talk S///t

Not like me to be so direct with folk  but for you I will make an exception ;)

Dont worry our Wada's I feel a movement towards the get rid button very soon. Maybe his little click in Dorset will invite him down again ;) We have had the likes of him on here before, and they tend to scurry to their keyboard sooner or later.

Jesus  I cant believe how so much arguing can be posted over something so simple,
"if you dont like the price dont buy it " this relates to anything in life, food, beer, cars, golf, prostitutes  people will value there time and stalking differently to the next man,get over it and move on,its that simple

Well it goes without saying that now and again we have trolls on here. This is not the first post that a certain person has made, that quite frankly is nothing more than a jibe at the SD site and more likely jelousy, as Wada's has pointed out.

As you said its up to individuals what they are prepraed to pay, but being fair with folk is the main thing in this game.

Well, personally I can only relate to the following :-

in life,food,beer,cars,golf,

But I agree in principle....

A syndicate I'm in got a large piece of ground recently. The locals have repeatedly said theres no deer on there hardly, but the 5 red stags taken on the first recce mission would suggest otherwise. So they're either crap stalkers or envious. I have noticed lots of envy when it comes to fishing and stalking rights over time. :(

The only bloody person likely to be banned on here old son is YOU!!!

I get rather tired of people who sit behind a key board and spout c//p in over 30 years of stalking and managing deer of all the species in the UK, it still suprises me how petty and jelous folk can get.

What have you done for this site may I ask??? have you given stalking away, helped H4H, taken novices out for free to get them there first deer? No doubt you will say yes to all of those, but I would doubt it myself.

Having been PM'ed by other members complaining about your posts I think its only a matter of time!!

Hi,

looks like 65x55 is at it again... tick tock the mouse runs up the clock.

I, been one of the six must say that malcolm and john are decent guys that offer decently priced stalking.

9 stalks both morning and evening 3 stags one weeks accommodation for under £550 total.
you find me a better deal then smart man........
bet you cant or maybe its next to your pals goose shooting.

a bargain. you get what you pay for.

thanks lads best money i spent this year.

f.

ps, like minded lads having a laugh is not a cliché mate, i was a total stranger and was invited in with no pretence, just cos your no mates...

to be honest i would do it again, but i would bring some more money, why you may ask, well if i had more money i reckon i would have shot an 8 pointer and also a large stag.
thats not been smart saying that as the animals are there. malc has great land, he rests it before we arrive so the animals are around for us and boy where they.
the week is fine two would be a bit much unless you where guiding for some of it.
i cant see any man allowing a guest on and shoot 3 6 pointers 2 8 pointers 2 spikers for the money he did... they just dont exist.
all leases cost money, those that have em know that and as a member of one i have an idea that they can cost a large amount.
where malc has his site cant be classed as normal forestry block so the costs are more.
no one has that much money to buy a lease and give away his shooting, not even malc and john ha ha... johns is forestry block but he does it slightly cheaper.
now thats fair value.

sorry but again thanks for a great week . value for money OH YES.

f.

ps if i hadnt have connected with the 3 stags i did,my weeks stalking would have cost me under £300..... thats 9 stalks minimum of 35 hours if not more... i would still have had a smile

Hi longshot
Let me know were that is sounds like a great deal
Hi sorry for the late reply but I forgot, the place I can go is http://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/glenetive/glenetive/index.html
it is very hard work as you can see it real steep,BUT its proper stag stalking with guide and gillie following up with pony, unlike most being dropped off and collected by vehicle, you are out all day untill its time to come home or if you connect with your stag, stunning place to stalk when your sat 3000 feet up having your piece,as I said they charge £350 per stag shot,no shot no fee, which is the norm for traditional stag stalking and not getting your mate who you nhave paid mates rates to drop you off kill a stag and then drive in to collect it,thats not real Stag stalking, not just shooting

Know that area like the back of my hand. I've hiked up Ben Starav in the summer and winter. Theres loads of reds kicking about on Rannoch moor you see them in herds at dusk and dawn almost daily. Small beasties with stags rarely weighing more than 14 stone due to the poor food supply. If you approach northbound on the A82 theres a pull in with a butty van and a few market stalls selling tat to the coach trip tourists heading into the highlands. The owner of the butty van used to have a semi tame stag that would sit by his van. The tourists often got too close and the bloke would often try and chase it away for it's own good. I once even saw a japanese woman hold it's antlers while her partner tried to take a photo.

Then at new years 2009 I think it was, the stag was shot repeatedly with an airgun in the face and eyes. The local ranger who manages the reds in the Glen Coe region was called and he had to put down the animal. I don't know if the attackers were ever caught? I remember watching the blokes eyes fill up when I asked him where the stag was later on in the year, unaware that his "pet" (for want of a better word) had been killed.

A few miles down the road theres a visitors center where tourists can go out with the ranger on Glen Coe looking for the deer. No public stalking is allowed (At least it wasn't last year) but it's not a bad way to spend a few hours if you're not stalking the area. And as the salmon fishing in the Fort William area is definately not what it once was, I can think of worse things to do.

really :???: seeing one of the biggest stags recorded in the Shooting Times came off this estate.but you know what they say "size isnt everything" personally Iam more interested in the stalk than the size

Absolutely. There's exceptions to every rule, but anyone who knows the stretch of A82 between Crianlarich to Ballaculish bridge (Quite a few forum members I would have thought) will have seen loads of roadside highland reds. Small beasts when compared to woodland reds. Out on Glen Coe, not an estate as such, they cull by number too, not by head as there's no public stalking, on that particular part of the moor. In fact if memory serves me correctly the stags out there average 12 to 14 stone, but you only need to take one look at them to see that. The poor beast that was shot by a plinker was 7 to 8 years old and was probably nearer the 12 stone mark. More Sika size.

I know it's already about 1000ft above sea level when you start. But I can't help pitying the pony at munro height in winter. Graham or Corbett at a push, but that high? Would love to see the pics of a munro height stag if you've got any? I'll have to lend the pony a pair of crampons for the hind season eh? I suppose you could always gralloch a hind and glisade down with it mind... :)
