What are the best scope mounts available?

For returning to zero Ziegler’s claw mounts are fantastic. Tested by french special forces to 1300m....... so I’m told. Allows me to switch between my day and night scopes with perfect return to zero every time. Not cheap but a fantastic system.
Give Alan Rhône a call to discuss your option.

I run light weight one piece Talley mounts on my stalking rifles. From memory they are 2oz each and I have never had a hint of a zero shift on 7mm08 or 6.5x47 Lapua. Would recommend them.

Repeatability starts with the quality of the rail. Hakan Spuhr told me they put a bit of effort in designing their new pica rails. Small details like rounded corners in places make a difference. I will be using Spuhr mounts anyway so it will go well hand in hand.
The Remmy rail has a provision to be pinned.

Nice looking rail. I don’t need a separate rail for my rifle as it already has one that comes as standard.

has a good range, made in the UK, for sensible money, and offers a solution for most mounting issues. Their rings have served me well, some have been fitted on my rifles for more than 10 years, and once fitted have caused no issues.
I also use some
Warne QD Maxima
rings - much more expensive, also excellent.

That rail would no doubt make an excellent cheese grater but as this is "the best scope mounts" thread how about exercising a little more conetrol before posting please?

Ps: I'm clearly running out of inventive ways to get my singular message across!

Good and bad with that solution. The separate rail allows you to choose the cant which can also allow for two piece mounts. Not all scopes can cater for 20Moa. 0 Moa might not be good enough for all shooting. The fixed rail is of course mechanically the better solution just not as flexible.

Na, you can keep your Conetrol mounts. I prefer something proper, proven and more flexible in use.
