Hi All,

We just want to gauge interest. We are considering taking the stalking back in house on the estate and might form a syndicate of sensible and trustworthy people.

We have around 4,000 acres manly forestry (borad leaf) with public access holding large numbers of fallow, muntjac and some roe.

The stalkers would have full access but keep in mind we have a driven shoot and rough shoots too. We would opeeate a best system so you book in on arrival and have that area to yourself.

We are looking at charging around £2000 per rifle. The cull should be inexcess of 100 deer, the estate retain the carcass although you would be able to keep muntjac for your freezer.

Got a meeting with the boss next week where we are going to discuss it but the current foreign stalkers have probably had thier day.

Its all pie in the sky at the moment but this would be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

How many members of the Sydicate? Are high seats up? Is there an extraction vehicle available for the big stuff? Have you a chiller facility?
£2 k is very trumpy for a Sydicate where you don’t retain the carcasses
A no from you then

Thing is I help run a Sydicate down this way and we don’t have as much land as you, however we hit similar numbers and each stalker keep what they shoot with an emphasis on complete management. We have extraction vehicles on each plot of ground either quad or Polaris ranger and this year we have just upped our membership to £500 per year. We have very extravagant high seats with mineral felt roofs etc.

It’s exploitive to persons paying that kind of dough to shoot, extract and gralloch your animals for the estates finances. I understand it’s what is going on right now and there is a commercial
Value in stalking and indeed venison but not for me. I can afford it no problem what so ever but what value are your members or potential members going to get if you have 6-8 members? Been in these kind of arrangements before and you get lots of turnover of members and therefore you will start to lack consistency with regards to areas shot showing people about every year etc.

Good luck

Saved me asking ;) and I agree with post 7.

£2k a year per head to do an estate’s cull for them does seem steep. Regardless of cost, I’d be looking to keep some venison and not just munties that the game dealer doesn’t want. If you want contractors to do the cull then pay them. If you’re looking for recreational stalkers then most of them like to be able to put venison in the freezer.
No doubt you’ll find plenty of takers though as ground is in such short supply...

Still very interested, but have to say if you want to attract any members, then you need to reply to our posts...
So what town is the nearest to the stalking ground?

Sometimes wonder why anybody bothers to offer syndicate places on here anymore. If people dont like the rules then they dont need to apply. What is the point of all the negative posts ? All it does is stops people offering opportunities to people that want them.
Not really, it gives those that have never been members of syndicates an idea of what to look for what to expect and what to ask for.
2k is a lot of money to carry out a cull for an estate and no mention of how many members has been mentioned yet.
I was one of four members of a syndicate in Somerset that cost just a little over half of that and we kept the carcases ;)
